His research interests include anterior and posterior spinal surgery, cranio-cervical junction disorders, pain management, minimally invasive and endoscopic spine procedures, spinal neuro-oncology, spine trauma, and neurotraumatology. His work also explores hemocomponent applications in spinal surgery and biomolecular approaches to bone augmentation.

Dr. Konstantin Slavin is a neurosurgeon based in Chicago, Illinois, with extensive experience in neurological surgery. He is affiliated with Advocate Christ Medical Center and Alexian Brothers Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from Azerbaijan State Medical Institute and has practiced in the field for more than two decades.

His research focuses on Parkinson’s disease, facial pain, dystonia and movement disorders, surgical approaches to pain management, deep brain stimulation, and Chiari malformation.

Dr. Lumy Sawaki is a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky, where she focuses on stroke and spinal cord rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree from the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil, and later completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Neurophysiology at Kobe University, Japan. She has also conducted research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and has received several honors for her contributions to neurorehabilitation research.

Her research focuses on neuroplasticity and motor recovery following stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury. She investigates innovative rehabilitation approaches using techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation, magnetoencephalography, and functional MRI, with the goal of improving functional recovery and patient outcomes.

Dr. Fred J. Roisen is a Professor and Chair of Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and serves as Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of RhinoCyte, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Northeastern University and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Developmental Physiology from Princeton University. His academic career includes extensive research publications, grant-supported research, and contributions to biomedical innovation.

His research focuses on developmental neurobiology, particularly neuroplasticity, neuritogenesis, and trophic interactions involved in nervous system development and repair.

Dr. Malhotra is a Penn Medicine neurosurgeon specializing in the management of complex brain and spinal disorders. His clinical interests include minimally invasive approaches to spinal reconstruction and tumor surgery. He completed advanced neurosurgical training at the University of Pennsylvania and later pursued specialist fellowship training at Plymouth Derriford Hospital in the United Kingdom.

His research focuses on regenerative approaches for degenerative disc disease, with an emphasis on reducing the need for invasive surgery. His work explores tissue engineering, spinal tissue regeneration, restoration of spinal mechanics, and targeted therapeutic delivery.

Dr. Jeannette E. Davies is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Denver. She earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Molecular & Cellular Biology from Case Western Reserve University in 2001 and completed research training in central nervous system regeneration at Baylor College of Medicine.

Her research focuses on spinal cord injury, stroke, and multiple sclerosis, including the use of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) to investigate neurological disease and potential therapeutic approaches.

Dr. Edward D. Hall is a distinguished neuropharmacologist and researcher specializing in acute neurological injuries. He serves as an Endowed Professor at the University of Kentucky and has led research programs focused on traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke. His work has contributed to the development of neuroprotective and antioxidant-based therapeutic approaches for acute central nervous system injuries. He has also received recognition for his contributions to spinal cord injury research and has been involved in numerous academic and scientific organizations.

His primary research interest is neuropharmacology, with particular emphasis on neuroprotection, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, oxidative stress, and therapeutic strategies for acute neurological damage.
